We were once individuals, scattered all over the country and the world. Now we're part of the crazy collective known as the crew at Blue Sky Studios. Day by day, we work very closely together, combining efforts as a team to meet our common goal - to make the best animated feature films.

Our educational backgrounds include computer animation, architecture, mathematics, computer science, and photography. Some of us majored in things unrelated to 3D animation like Music Technology and Philosophy and picked up our 3D-related talents along the way. Within our industry, we share our knowledge by teaching and participating in animation forums. We have quite an eclectic bunch of people here with talents that extend far beyond CGI. We are musicians, artists, photographers, athletes, teachers, and volunteers.

But more specifically, we have a former actress from General Hospital, a trained bulldozer operator, a martial arts expert, several firefighters, a professional breakdancer, a self described New Orleans-born vegetarian Afro-centric atheist, a former drummer of a glam-rock band, a collector of airline safety cards, an Off-Broadway Shakespearean actor, a birder who has seen over 700 species, a former NASA engineer, a member of the Russian Royalty, someone who got to eat breakfast with the Lone Ranger, the guy who had the job of squirting blue liquid on a panty shield for a TV commercial, and the list goes on and on.

We like to think that all of that variety has been been preparation for where we are now. And right now, we're the wizards behind the curtain here at Blue Sky.
