This week, the Blue Sky Studios directors and development team ventured into Manhattan for three days of intensive story study with the world-famous Robert McKee!
On March 4th, Director Carlos Saldanha and Producers Lori Forte and Bruce Anderson hit the red carpet to celebrate Ferdinand's Oscar® nomination for Best Animated Feature Film. Alongside the Oscar® nominees were Blue Sky Co-Presidents Andrea Miloro and Robert Baird, as well as Writer Tim Federle.

Last week the animation, design and art departments met with a professional swordsman to learn the tricks of the trade for one of Blue Sky's upcoming films.

The Visual Effects Society anounced this week that Ferdinand was nominated for Outstanding Effects Simulation in an Animated Feature. Those being honored from the Blue Sky Effects department are Yaron Canetti, Allan Kadkoy, Danny Speck and Mark Adams.
